Mr. Nobody’s Spookeasy Extravaganza

Oct. 30-Nov. 2

The Great Star Theatre, Chinatown

San Francisco was on fire last night! Not only was it a whopping 70 degrees at 10pm within the city limits, but of course the Giants had won the World Series–did we ever have any doubt? But I digress. There was another flame burning bright over in kitschy Chinatown at the haunted Great Star Theatre. With his Spookeasy Extravaganza, creator Barron Scott Levkoff of Edwardian Ball fame has truly done it again.

BAM was invited to the Gala Preview Party last night, and what an eye-popping event it was. We are calling this the go-to event of the weekend! Here’s a sneak peek at who was there. We don’t want to give all the surprises away, so you’ll just have to attend the festivities to experience it all!

As Mr. Nobody himself describes his Spookeasy Extravaganza, it will be  “…a new, daring, bold and sophisticated multi-evening experiential destination party…” transforming Chinatown’s Great Star Theatre “… into a scintillating circus-like, madcap séance soiree beckoning back to life ghosts, spirits, and specters from the raucous and rollicking red hot era of 1930s Burlesque and Barbary Coast Vaudeville in a decadently opulent Max Fleischer-esque ‘ToonTown’ parallel universe’s haunted Prohibition-era Speakeasy.” If you long for the days of cutie flappers, slappy vaudevillians, death-defying jugglers, handsome gentlemen, and the sexiest women in the Bay–clad in garters, glitter, and eyelashes so long they’re in a different zip code–then look no further.

This ghostly brigade officially rolls out tonight and for the next three nights.
