BAMmagazine.com’s contributing writer and photographer, Cheryl Alterman has been selected to have an exhibit of her fine works displayed at Daredevils and Queens Salon, in Santa Rosa’s Historic Railroad Square District. On display are hand picked photographs taken throughout her career of rock icons, such as Robert Plant, Green Day, Tom Petty, and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Each photograph showcases Ms. Alterman’s unique style, is signed and fused onto metal. “The metal format is a different medium to showcase my photos, yet captures the details and energy of these great musicians. And, it just looks rock n roll!”, states Alterman. In addition to being a seasoned rock photographer, Alterman was a painter first, studying under William Martin at a private fine art school in Huntington Beach, CA and then later, graduating from West Herts College, in London, England. This exhibit marks the first public showing of her bright, whimsical, and sometimes surrealistic paintings, and represents a life’s retrospective. Alterman remarked, “It is a very emotional moment for me to be able to exhibit my art, and I thank Daredevils and Queens for this opportunity.” Cheryl Alterman Rock N Roll photography and original oil paintings are on display now through mid-March, 2017, at Daredevils and Queens, 122 4th Street, Santa Rosa, CA 94501. Her photos and artwork are also viewable and available for purchase on her website, www.altermanimages.com.
