For as long as he can remember, Rob Rigolfi, or as he’s better known as, Bob Rabbit has had two passions, Music and Philanthropy. After several trips to Haiti to volunteer with those in need, Bob began exposing his style of music to the locals, and they liked it. They saw it as a form of free expression, and a way to share their story to the world.
The only problem, the significant lack of infrastructure made giving the local Haitians the opportunity to create their music an impossibility, hence the Bob Rabbit Project was born.
The focus of the Bob Rabbit Project is to first bring power and renewable energy to the areas of Haiti he has been to so they can have electricity, and have the capability to no longer rely on expensive and unreliable gasoline generators. The program then allocates the remaining funds to the purchasing of musical equipment for the local citizens.
The Bob Rabbit Project raises money and awareness for their philanthropy by hosting various benefit concerts throughout the city, the next of which will be held March 18th, this Saturday night starting at 7:30pm at the SF Studio Smith. BAM Magazine will be exclusively covering this event, and we hope to see you there.
