RETIRING DJ, STEVEN SEAWEED JOINING “BAMMIES WOF!”



Steven Seaweed, currently the mid-day DJ on 107.7- The Bone, San Francisco is hanging up his headset after spinning records, compact discs, and MP3 files of music for over 44 years on Northern California radio stations.  His final day on the air will be on Friday, June 30, 2017 but there is a special announcement planned for Steven on his show on Thursday, June 29 during his noontime hour on the air.

BAMmagazine.com and BAM Radio are going to induct Steven Seaweed into the “BAMMIES Walk of Fame” that reside in the sidewalk in front of the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in downtown San Francisco.  He will join earlier “BAMMIES WOF” inductees Bill Graham, Carlos Santana, Jerry Garcia, John Lee Hooker, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Metallica, and Journey.  Steven, by the way, will be the first DJ inducted into the “BAMMIES Walk of Fame!”

During his four decade long radio career, Steven logged time at KLRB-FM in Carmel, KSAN Jive 95-FM in San Francisco, KRQR-FM “The Rocker” in San Francisco and again at KSAN-FM now known as 107.7 The Bone.

The ceremony to unveil Steven Seaweed’s plaque into the “BAMMIES WOF” will be done at a later date to be determined soon.
