On Saturday, April 20, 10,000 eco-minded souls and friends of the future will head to the heart of the City at Civic Center Plaza for Earth Day SF 2013. Known as the “Greenest City in North America,” San Francisco will once again host four different stages, an Eco Village, keynote speakers, earth-friendly exhibits, more eco friendly artwork, scores of eco vendors and exhibitors, and a full day’s worth of great music. Poor Man’s Whisky, a high-energy fusion of bluegrass and Southern rock, will headline the day.
The San Francisco Bike Coalition and the SFPD have teamed up to fix 75 bicycles on site during the day. The bikes will later be donated to deserving kids around the city.
The jam band Moon Alice will play the Earth Day SF after-party at Slims that night, starting at 7:20pm. Tickets are just $4.20 each; all ages are welcome.
