BAM MEDIA AND KOFY TV 20 PRESENT BAMZOOM!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 7, 2020

Local San Francisco Bay Area television station, KOFY TV 20 and BAM MEDIA have teamed up to produce a weekly one-hour TV program called BAMZOOM! It will air on Saturday nights at 7:00 pm beginning July 4th, 2020.

BAM Magazine (Bay Area Music) was a free local publication in the Bay Area from 1977 to the year 2000. During those years, BAM produced an annual concert called the Bay Area Music Awards- The BAMMIES! For many of the original BAMMIES years, KOFY TV 20 was the presenting television station that broadcast the local music celebration live. It is fitting that KOFY TV 20 and BAM MEDIA got together again for BAMZOOM!

The format of BAMZOOM will be a combination of historical BAMMIES footage from the previous years, footage from the recent 2018 BAMMIES REUNION CONCERT, and Bay Area Music of today! It will be hosted by San Francisco’s Maestro Dick Bright and a wonderful cross section of Bay Area media personalities including Chuy Gomez, Morris Knight, Uzette Salazar, Carmen Milagro, and many others. Due to the coronavirus situation in the world today we are recording our guests and MC’s using the ZOOM technology, hence the name BAMZOOM.

It is BAM MEDIA and KOFY TV 20’s goal to “Bring Back the BAMMIES for the Next Generation.”
KOFY TV20/Cable 713 is as iconic and unique as the San Francisco Bay Area and the people that make up our diverse community. Bay Area residents have grown up with KOFY and that classic heritage endures with programs like BAMZOOM!
KOFY TV is Locally Brewed and we celebrate our connection to the people in our community. Thousands of Bay Area residents have appeared on KOFY TV in our locally produced programs and hosted interview segments. Tune in to see local business owners, celebrities, your neighbors, interesting people of all kinds and, of course, dogs!
