This past summer marked the 81st year that the City of San Francisco presented a series of admission-free concerts in one of the most beautiful natural amphitheaters in the world, the Sigmund Stern Grove! Located along 19th Avenue at Sloat Boulevard in the city, the Stern Grove Festival packs them in for a widely diverse schedule of performing arts every year.

For the first concert of 2018, the weather couldn’t have been better for some sweet reggae music from Ziggy Marley, a member of the royal Bob Marley family of Jamaica. Ziggy’s music brings together all backgrounds and all ages, as evident from the diverse, capacity crowd at the grove during his performance. The one love atmosphere soaked into the concert attendees along with the vitamin D from the sun. These good vibes were a true gift from Stern Grove’s other royal family of the day, The Goldman’s, who have supported the festival for many years.

Ziggy and his band rolled out the hits from two Marley generations and the packed crowd happily inhaled it all in!
